Legoland
Legoland (Nordmarksvej 9, Billund) – this theme park is a 2 ½-hour drive from Copenhagen (via route E20), but since it’s run by one of the most popular toymakers in the planet (Lego) , families still come here regardless. Launched in 1968, and located next to the original Lego factory, over 50 million visitors have come to Legoland. The park is a celebration of the innovative ways that Lego blocks have been used over the years – making replicas of sights from all over the world (from a Scandinavian fishing village, to the Statue of Liberty, the Acropolis of Athens, and even Star Wars). Admission: 355 DKK per person (free for children under 3 years old). Opening hours vary. Check Legoland’s website for an updated schedule: www.legoland.dk
