Københavns Bymuseum (Stormgade 18, Copenhagen) – housed in an 18th century building, this museum shows the history of the development of the city of Copenhagen. Exhibits there range from the role of immigrants in the city’s growth, to the celebration of the welfare society within the capital. That, as well as an exhibit on Copenhagen-born philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. The outside of the museum has a display of a scale model showing old Copenhagen. In addition, from May until September, the Museum conducts theme-based public walking tours of the city.
